Beta Theta Pi is a not a frat, it is a fraternity. This is what the men who are members of Beta Theta Pi at The University of South Dakota believe. Next year will mark the 100th anniversary of the Gamma Alpha chapter of Beta Theta Pi on the campus of the University of South Dakota. We are men of quality living a principled life. Beta Theta Pi is present all over campus and accomplishing great things through solid leadership.
Last fall ΒΘΠ had the largest pledge class amongst all fraternities on campus with a total of 18 pledges. Those young men made an excellent choice for their future because ΒΘΠ is known campus wide as the leadership fraternity.
Each year the administrative office of ΒΘΠ offers numerous events designed to develop young men into leaders. This year alone I have attended leadership conferences in Oxford Ohio (twice), Chicago Illinois and Seattle Washington. The tools available to members of ΒΘΠ are tools you can use for life.
Locally, ΒΘΠ holds multiple philanthropic events with sororities and other fraternities allowing us to give back to the community of Vermillion. Additionally, many brotherhood events are held which foster strengthening the bonds of friendship between fellow members of ΒΘΠ.
The men of ΒΘΠ work hard on our campus. We have people pursuing a wide variety of major fields of study at USD. This allows us to have a solid resource in helping each other with course work. Our members are involved in many campus organizations including tennis, rugby, Intra-Fraternity Council, Student Government Association, intra-mural athletics, and many more.
ΒΘΠ is the best place to be at USD. We exhibit quality men who excel during and after college. We look forward to meeting you this fall at 429 N. Plum Street, 1 block south of the shell gas station on Cherry Street. If you have any questions please e-mail or call: Kaleb.Paulsen@usd.edu (605)-728-1024.
Thank you and have a wonderful year! GO BETA!
